FDA approves generic form of Duragesic

Drugmaker Teva has announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved its generic form of the pain patch Duragesic for sale in the United States. According to a Teva press release, the generic--called the Fentanyl Transdermal System--will be available in 25 mcg/hour, 50 mcg/hour, 75 mcg/hour, and 100 mcg/hour dosages. Teva said they will begin shipping the generic pain patch immediately. Read more »
