    New chronic pain drug shows promise

    Drugmaker Xenoport says its new drug for the treatment of pain associated with shingles has shown positive results in a new clinical trial. The drug, currently called XP13512 or GSK1838262, met its primary goal in a Phase IIb clinical trial by showing a significant reduction in pain compared to a placebo.  Read full story >
