Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has cancer

Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been diagnosed with a form of blood cancer known as chronic myeloid leukemia. Abdul-Jabbar has been given a promising prognosis from his doctors, and with the help of an assistant has been able to continue his normal level of activity of coaching, as well as his usual regimen and diet.
