Q: my nose bleeds in the morning when I blow my nose why would this be?

I haven't had a cold or flu but started to sneeze once or twice each day (severa sneezes each time) about four weeks ago and assumed I was about to get a cold. I have a dry mouth/throat at night and need to blow my nose in the morning.  It started to bleed when blown a few days ago and since then noticed it is mainly in the morning.  I don't blow my nose that hard and sometimes there is more blood than liquid.  Why would the blood be building up during the night.  I have been prescribed a nasal spray (as I am advised it is a sinus prblem) but also told it will take weeks before it clears!!

Thanks for your help
