We can't make diagnoses online or in this forum, but I can provide you with general information that you can take to your doctor.

Chills, fever, sore throat, nausea and vomiting are all symptoms of influenza (flu).

You can be sick for up to a week with the flu. As long as you have symptoms, you are contagious and can spread the flu to others.

You can also click here to use or respirtaory illness assessment. It can help you identify your symptoms and what may be causing them, but it is not a diagnostic tool. If you want a definitive diagnosis you should see your doctor right away.

If it turns out to be the flu, the simplest treatment is simply to get a lot of rest and sleep, drink plenty of fluids and take over-the-counter medicine (such as Tylenol) to relieve any body or muscle aches and to reduce fever.

Good luck!
