No Sense Of Smell

Losing your sense of smell may be an early sign of Alzheimer's
disease, a new study suggests. In the study, 589 elderly people
took a test in which they were asked to evaluate 12 common smells.
Researchers followed up with the participants once a year for five
years and found that those who scored below average on the smell
test were 50 percent more likely to develop cognitive impairment
than those who scored above average.
