At least 20 people have died from an outbreak of swine flu in Mexico, and hundreds of others have been made ill from the virus strain. The new flu strain combines genetic material from pigs, birds, and humans, and it is identical to a strain that sickened eight people in the California and Texas. In response to the outbreak, Mexico City closed schools--including universities--as well as museums, libraries, and state-run theaters across the city.
