Decongestant exposure could be toxic for young children

A large percentage of American children are exposed to the decongestant pseudoephedrine, despite unclear evidence on the safety of the drug in kids. A survey conducted on 4,267 children found that 4.9 percent of the kids had taken a pseudoephedrine-containing product such as an allergy or cold medicine in any given week.
