Some foods may help fight the flu: expert

According to dietitian Andrea Garen, choosing a variety of foods is important year round, but it may be particularly helpful during flu season. Garen says that yogurt, garlic, peanuts, and healthy meats may help ward off colds and flu by increasing the body's level of vitamin D and other nutrients. She also points out that low levels of vitamin D have been linked to a higher incidence of respiratory infections.  Read full story >
