Tylenol may affect kids' vaccines

Parents who give their children Tylenol (acetaminophen) to reduce normal post-vaccination fevers may weaken the vaccines' effectiveness, experts say. A fever after a vaccine is normally caused by the child's immune system processing the vaccine, which is what gives them the best protection from the shots. So dampening this response also lessens the vaccine's effectiveness.  Read full story >
