Dan is the Director of Content at HealthCentral, overseeing the HealthCentral Editorial Team and coordinating content development and partnerships. After studying writing at Northwestern University, Dan joined HealthCentral in 2006 as one of its earliest employees. While a member of the content team, Dan managed a dozen different HealthCentral sites, including quickly growing communities in Migraine, Chronic Pain, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. He has also led HealthCentral’s search engine optimization efforts for the past four years, developing the organization’s understanding of how health information seekers use search engines to access “longtail” health content.
Alli manages HealthCentral’s wonderful network of contributors and oversees overall recruitment efforts for our various communities. Alli also manages the content on HealthCentral’s diabetes, heart disease, cholesterol, high blood pressure, sexual health, osteoporosis, and menopause sites. She enjoys building relationships with bloggers and helping individuals achieve their goals of growing their audience and becoming better writers. Alli is a graduate of Susquehanna University and George Washington University.
Tina has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communication with an emphasis in Video Production from San Francisco State University. During her time at HealthCentral, she has taken the lead in our in-house video production, shooting and post-editing videos featuring patient advocates with various conditions, interviews with authors and professionals as well as promotional videos.
Christopher Regal currently serves as a Web Producer for a variety of conditions on HealthCentral.com, including Osteoarthritis, Chronic Pain, Multiple Sclerosis, ADHD, Migraine and Prostate Health. He joined HealthCentral in November 2009 after time spent working for a political news organization. Chris is a graduate of the Catholic University of America and is a native of Albany, NY.
Allison has a bachelor’s in English from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Print and Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College. Prior to working as a content producer at HealthCentral, Allison was an associate editor and reporter for B2B clinical health magazines with a focus on dermatology, cosmetic surgery and medical economics. Currently Allison manages the Allergy, Asthma, Cold & Flu, COPD, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Sleep sites.
Sara is a Midwest transplant to Washington D.C. with over four years of professional writing, editing and research experience in online health, health consulting and music. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Music from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens point in 2008 and move to DC shortly after to work for the Advisory Board Company as a staff writer. Sara is now in her third year as a content manager for Remedy Health Media where she edits, publishes and curates the work of several freelance writers; plans, develops and organizes the content for six condition-specific site; developed and implements social media strategies and a thriving speakers bureau; and writes articles of her own.
Amanda has several roles at HealthCentral. She manages the mental health sites, which includes anxiety, bipolar, depression, and schizophrenia, and she is a video content producer where she enjoys being an on-camera talent and behind the scenes editor. Amanda joined the content team in 2010 after managing political ad production in the midterm elections. Amanda is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she double majored in Electronic Media and Theatre Performance.
Amy Tudor has 20 years experience as a writer. She holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Humanities and an MFA in Creative Writing, and she spends her spare time as an award-winning poet. She manages the skin care and skin cancer portions of the website.
