Ken is a real trooper and a great inspiration.  I know Eileen, Tim and Neva through the Breathing Better Living Well site (where I am now an Administrator, thanks to Jane Martin), but I know Ken personally.  He is part of my Pulmonary Rehab group.  We have all bonded so well, and if Ken can see any one of us is a bit down, he's right there pulling you back up and encouraging you, and making you laugh.  He really cares about the people he is in contact with and fights for the others who have been dealt the hand he was.  When I first started Pulmonary Rehab I probably came across as arrogant or above the others or I don't even know how I was seen.  The truth was that I was just plain scared to death that I would fail at it.  Really fail and embarrass myself. I saw all these people, some on oxygen and some not, smiling and using this very frightening array of exercise equipment and I honestly did not believe I could do any of it.  Ken was right there trying to encourage and help out.  He just works so hard to improve what he can improve and strengthen the muscles needed for his sports and breathing.  He just is not a quitter.  Thanks, Ken, for just being you.
