By Jane M. Martin, BA, LRT, CRT, Health Pro Thursday, December 18, 2008

Great article!

In the busyness of the Holidays we often forget that if we just plan ahead, prepare more than we used to have to, start earlier to be ready we can avoid the "panicky" moments that put us in a bad situation.

It is all doable - just not as "by the seat of our pants" as we used to do things.

Plan...plan...plan...pace...pace...pace!!!  Then have fun!

I wanted to say Thankyou for your articles here at HC.

I am normally a daily member over in the Chronic Pain & Fibromyalgia area, but am trying to learn more about COPD/Chronic Bronchitis & Breathing problems in general.

Unfortnately both my inlaws suffer from Lung diseases & struggle to breathe, and dad was recently diagnoses w/prostrate cancer. he'll be starting treatment right after the first of the year.  I wanted to learn more about their illnesses to understand & also learn how to be more helpful to them.

Everyone else in the family is busy with their careeres and supporting their families and I no longer work due to my own Chronic Health issues and have always known that I would be the one to help take care of mom & dad, so am trying to educate & prepare myself to fill their needs and do the best I can for the two of them.

Thank you Again for your articles

Betty

Dear Betty Boop Too,

Thank you for your comments. I love writing about COPD and it's great to know it's making a difference.

Kudos to you for learning all you can about chronic diseases in addition to caring for yourself. Knowledge is power, and this is no less important when talking about our health.

Have a wonderful holiday season, Betty, filled with good days, smiles and love!

Jane.
