Dear Anne -

Thanks so much for this great info.  Having quit several years ago, I still am amazed at what I did not know about smoking and what it did to my body.  Thanks goodness I am free from all that now!

The tips you provide seem reasonable and certainly appropriate for all of us trying to keep weight off.  I suspect smokers are at a higher risk of replacing one addiction with another, so keeping a watch on all of our behaviors is important.

I thought readers might want to read our Living Smoke Free section - it has lots of help with lifestyle changes that keep you on the healthy road. Others may just want to have a list of resources out there to help with smoking cessation.

Thanks again so much - look forward to your next post.

All the best, sue

Thanks, Sue - the Living Smoke Free section is a great resource. If I were still trying to quit, I know it would be a regular stop for me.

I agree with your comment about not knowing what smoking does to our bodies - sometimes ignorance is bliss but sometimes it leads us to continue on our self-destructive paths longer than we would if we were better informed. Congratulations on your several years!!

best,

anne
