Thanks again Anne for a great post. GO TEAM. That is how I think of this website. One team all with the same goal - to win the fight and stop smoking for good. I hope lots of our readers have gotten through to week 4 and if not plan on stepping right back onto the path. It is so important not to go backwards but to always move forwards even if there are a few wobly steps along the way.
For additional help with the challenges of smoking, take a look at our managing smoking area. As well, learning how to live differently now that you have quit can be challenging.
Hope this helps and all the best
Thanks, Sue - "Go team" is right! When people start smoking (often as teens) they have no idea how hard it will be to quit one day. When they do finally try to quit, they need support and encouragement to get through the inevitable rough spots. Thanks for cheering everyone on!

Hi All,
I've smoked cigarettes and weed and drunk alcohol for the last 35 years. I have never felt my alcohol was a problem but have tried to stop smoking dozens of times. This time round I went to NA (narcotics annonymous) and first stopped alcohol and marijuana for a week and then quit the cigarettes. It has been so much easier this time. Alcohol is a big no no when giving up cigarettes as is fooling yourself that the odd joint will be of no harm, it only prolongs your craving a smoke. Holding thumbs this time!
