It's Autumn: Do You Know Where Your Flu Shot Is Coming From?

In my area of the world, leaves are beginning to drop from branches and litter the ground, the air is noticeably cooler after the sun goes down and sandals and tank tops are pushed into the back of the closet in favor of socks and sweatshirts. Must be autumn...   As the fall season overtakes u...

Hello Everybody:

This was an informative and timely article.  I have been getting

an annual flu shot since I was 18 yrs old, and I am now 72 yrs old.

Fortunately, I am a US Navy veteran, and I receive all my Medical

coverage from the VA.  Each year, between late October and

early November, I get a flu shot.  It is easy, and I have never had

a problem with the shot.  I also have never in my life had the Flu.

So, go ahead and get the shot, It could save your life.

How typical... this article reeks of conventional meds pharmacopia only approach... but people need to wake up to the very real risk that vaccines pose.  Especially in regards to the swine flu vaccine which is by far worse than the actual problem (the swine flu which isnt even anywhere as lethal as the regular flu strains that go around every year).  Squalene which is one of the adjuvants being used in the swine flu IS PROVEN in animals to cause auto-immune disorders and conviently enough HHS Katherene Sebelius order $500 million worth of the adjuvant for use in vaccines although she completely denies this.  Their are far more effective natural items with minimal to NO risk whatsoever.  For example, having optimal amounts of selenium (anti-viral mineral) can prevent the most lethal form of pneumonia that literally drowns your lungs while taking optimal/therapeutic amounts of Vitamin D-3 can totally prevent and cure flus and infection if taken in therapuetic doses...

Kevin... Thanks for your comments. Yes, putting any foreign substance into your body always presents some risk of side effect, but studies have proven that the potential side effects from flu vaccine, especially the seasonal type, are generally much less severe than getting the flu itself.

As I said in the article, the new H1N1 flu vaccine is not recommended for those over the age of 64, which is a good part of the COPD population. And anyone with a chronic illness should probably check with their doctor before getting a new type of vaccine for the first time.

You make a lot of claims in your article. Can you offer us proof of what you say? By proof, I don't mean hype from vaccine-bashing blogs. Rather, what I'd like to offer my readers are scientific, fact-based articles. Can you please direct us to those?

Thanks!

Kevin:

Thanks for your input and comments.

As I said in my previous post, I have never had a

problem with a Flu shot.  I have had 54 Flu shots in

my life, so that is a good indication that they work, for me.

I also have never had the Flu.  Of course, people

vary in their responce to many meds., so I always

consult with my Primary Care Doctor, and my

Pulmonologist.   Stay healthy this winter,

John
