Q: my mother has copd, and she has been in icu several times. she can't seem to sleep flat, she wants to sleep almost sitting up on her side. any wedges to help her sleep.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here. It is common for people with COPD to have difficulty breathing when lying flat. They often find relief and better sleep by being elevated under the shoulders and head.

 

Two or three pillows can be used to accomplish this, or a foam wedge. I believe I got the one my mom used at JC Penney's, but a web search may show you other sources.
