Q: my dad was diognosed with copd 4 months ago. he has suffered , with shortness of breath for years, but was too afraid to find out what was wrong. He has been good for A while, until yesterday.

Yesterday he slept for 22 hrs. straight, we had the hospice nurse come and check him out. she said at least hes not in pain. worst case senerio, how much time might I have with him?

It's hard to predict life  expectancy, as every person is different and the human will plays such a large part in the final days. But I'm wondering if your dad is on supplemental oxygen?

 

If not, he might benefit from it, so it's worth discussing with the doctor.
