i took chantix for about 4 months, went off, then back about 2 months later for about 6 weeks. i never smoked after or even during the period i was on it and only went back because urges popped up. but i don't think i could have quit without it. are the risks greater than those associated with ssri medications? i've encouraged so many people to try it and i'm so disappointed.
