Hi Flossy:    Sorry, smoking even 1 cigarette is out of the question when you have COPD.    Believe me, I tried that route, and I only succeeded in making my COPD worse.  I smoked for 59 years, and was diagnosed with COPD approx. 15 years ago.  I continued to smoke.  Oh! I tried to quit many, many times,  but did not succeed because I thought I could still smoke a few every day.  I am now 72 years old, and I use a nebulizer 3 to 4 times a day.   When I was diagnosed, all I used was Albuterol via MDI.  Fortunately, I do not have to use oxygen. I finally quit a little over a month ago, and I am hanging in there. PLEASE,  do yourself and your family and friends a big favor, QUIT NOW...THIS SITE IS A BIG HELP, AND IF YOU WANT TO CHAT, I WILL BE HERE FOR YOU.      You can also e-mail me at   johncallahan63@yahoo.com. Good luck and God Bless you, John
