Q: Is smoking a tobacco pipe, but not inhaling, as harmful as cigarette smoking?

It is impossible to smoke anything, whether pipe, cigarette or cigar, without inhaling something. The harmful substances in tobacco are still getting into your lungs to some extent. So I wouldn't encourage you to smoke pipe tobacco any more than I would a cigarette.

 

Take a step towards better health by avoiding all smoking.
