I have the end stage of COPD and am on oxygen 24/7 but recently have experienced a very strong weariness that seems to worsen. Is that a natural progression of COPD at this stage? Thank you.

Yes, Glo, unfortunately that weariness is quite typical of end-stage COPD. Even with the constant oxygen, your body is not getting enough oxygen into the bloodstream to fully feed your cells. The result is a lack of energy, or fatigue.

There is not much you can do about this, other than to carefully balance activity with adequate rest periods.

    Take care,

    Kathi
