Hello okezie,   Treatment for sinusitis depends on how long you've had your sinus problems; you'll need to see a doctor in person to help you sort out your problems.  First, if you have only had a couple of bouts with infected sinuses, time and sometimes antibiotics can do the trick to get you better.  If you have had many occurences of sinusitis, your doctor should probably refer you to an ear, nose, and throat specialist to determine the cause of your recurring infections and plan out how best to prevent you from getting additional ones.  Steriod medications can be used with care and sometimes, surgery is necessary to prevent recurrence of sinusitis.   Scant blood streaks in mucus can be expected in a sinus infection, however, profuse and uncontrollable bleeding is a serious concern.  If you are feeling extremely weak, have a high fever, and are getting confused you should seek treatment at your local emergency room as soon as possible as these are signs of a serious infection.   To your health, Neil MD
