A “shocking” number of people don’t know that being overweight is a main risk factor for cancer, a new survey has found. The survey of over 40,000 people in 39 countries found that about 40 percent of people did not understand that obesity increased the risk of cancer. The study also found that 25 percent of people who smoked daily did not believe that tobacco increased their risk of cancer.
