Stimuvax cancer vaccine goes to Phase III trial

Drugmaker Merck says their experimental vaccine Stimuvax has started a Phase III clinical trial for breast cancer and lung cancer. The drug has been shown to help prime a patient's immune system to recognize and kill cancer cells. The newest study will be conducted on patients who have advanced, inoperable breast cancer, and patients who have advanced, inoperable lung cancer, researchers say.  Read more »
