What Percentage Of People Who Smoke Get Lung Cancer

Smoking may be an even larger contributor to the development of
lung cancer if people who smoke have certain genetic variations,
researchers say. Three teams of scientists scanned the genomes of
more than 60,000 people, some with lung cancer and some without.
All three studies found two genetic variants on chromosome 15 that
were more common among the lung cancer patients than the healthy
