Soy may protect against COPD

Eating soy-containing foods such as tofu, soy milk, and miso may protect people from developing lung disease, including COPD, experts say. The study of 300 COPD patients in Japan found that those who ate a lot of soy products had better lung function and fewer complications of COPD than those who rarely ate soy foods. Experts say it may be that flavonoids in soy reduce inflammation in the lungs.  Read full story >
