Office air may cause breathing problems

If you think a problem with ozone is limited to the great outdoors, scientists say you need to think again. Ozone produced by office photocopiers and other equipment may worsen asthma and cause breathing problems for even healthy people. A new study found that when ozone combines with skin oils it can aggravate skin tissue and the lining of the nose, mouth, and respiratory tract. The lead scientists in the study say indoor environments can be cleaned by using good ventilation and charcoal filters in particularly shut-up spaces. Read full story >
