Chantix helps people with COPD stop smoking

According to a study presented at the CHEST meeting last week, the drug Chantix is safe and effective in helping COPD patients stop smoking. Researchers at UCLA studied 500 people with mild-to-moderate COPD. Between weeks nine and twelve, 40 percent of those who received Chantix had quit smoking, compared to less than 10 percent of those who received the placebo.  Read full story >
