When I left my analyst’s office for the last time, way back in 1963, he told me one thing to keep me going. I was heading back to New York City, where I’d been born, after six years in California, learning my craft of film-making. “Keep doing creative things,” he said. I took that statem...

I just read your thoughts when searching the web for info on depression and creativity

I suffered from severe depression until I was 57 years old..then checked myself in and was put on an antideression meds. Within weeks a black pall lifted..I could not believe it...

I am on the meds for life...side effects or no...and, they are diffcult at times...but they should take my legs first!

For me it was a miracle as I have read it has been for some others such as Terri Bradshaw. Apparently you have not had the same experince.

YOur point I believe is well taken, especially in the examples of Lincoln and Churchill...and we have Churhills own thoughts on the subject.."200 hundred bricks a d ay and 2000 words to keep the black dog away"..to say nothing of the self medicating with booz...but, it worked for him..and Lincoln perpetually in thought...thank God for that...

My best to you....

Kit, didnt you and Tony go to the Children's Ranch (I think it was called) in New Mexico as small children, as did my sister Julia and I?

If this is not in my imagination, but a real memory from when I knew you in !954 -55 (?) Will you write me your memories of that place as I am trying to recall more about it myself.

I hope you remember me -- we met at Al and Florence Herman's. and even dated very briefly.

Hope you are well and can help me with this.

Hi Miranda - Sorry this is off topic, but i googled you.  I recently picked up a vintage Beatrix Potter book for my daughter and it was inscribed to you from "Papa" on Baltimore, Feb 10, 1945.  There is also some writing in your hand, I believe.

If you are the Miranda in question, I thought you might like to get it back.  I'd be happy to send it to you.  Please email me at lynnpinto@aol.com.

Best,

Lynn
