This is my first comment, as I'am new to the website and am very happy to be here. Finally, a forum to express my thoughts and comment on other people's. I so relate to wanting/needing to hide in sleep when I couldn't deal with a question, decision or even the idea of rising out of bed. And the anger - the years and years I have asked for and tried therapy after therapy to no avail. Currently, I am at the lowest stage in my recovery - too many med cocktails with terrible side effects and moving farther away from feeling well. The last phyciatrist I was given the privelege of seeing (after his students questionned me for 20 mins.), was a ten minute speech saying I am doing quite well. I almost smacked him.
My G.P. and several other phyciatrists told me I was bi-polar which my dad suffered from. Doctors from this idiot's own staff!!! He rushed me out of the teaching hospital which I had had therapy for years at, including day hospital, was not in my file as after 5 years files were expunged!!!!!
He did refer me to see a phycopharmacologist in his team to have all my cocktails reviewed and then maybe some form of group therapy at a local clinic in my area.
I truly wish you the best with your medical/emotional well-being and thank you for showing me I am not alone.
