I am a consumer ( diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the early 1980's), a family member ( maternal grandmother, paternal uncle, one brother, multiple cousins, and now my 22 year old daughter, all diagnosed with bipolar disorder), a health care provider ( certified psychiatric RN working in the field for 27 years) and an advocate.
