Martha, you certainly have a lot to deal with and I'm so sorry that you have to.  I'm hoping that your treatments will work well.  Do you have any cancer support groups you can go to, maybe through your hospital or clinic?  I'm sure you must get very tired.  Treat yourself gently as you would a dear friend.  I hope you can find some support somewhere - and you know you can always come here.  I'm wishing you the best and hope you'll keep us posted on how you're doing.

I can't even imagine what you are going through.  When you hear the word cancer...it has to be so frightening.  There are good treatments nowadays and I am hopeful that your doctor is taking good care of you.

Let me know if you want the link to our breast cancer site.  There is a ton of support there for what you are going through.  I just did a conference with a lady who is a three time cancer survivor...she also had breast cancer twice.  So this is treatable and beatable.

Please feel free to write here...vent...anything you need.  We are here for you.

I have never had cancer, nor can I even imagine what it takes to face it.  I have two good friends who have battled it successfully with great courage and many prayers sent their way.

What 2 types do you have?  Do you have some good supportive family and/or friends?  I hope so.  You have some very supportive people here.  I think we can understand the depression that goes with illness and stress in general.  You will be in my prayers.

I'm sorry you have such difficult stuff to deal with. I don't know if there is anything I can do from here, but let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I struggle with depression myself and I am a diabetic. My physical illness effects my mental illness quite a bit, so I imagine your mind must be struggling extra hard, given what your body is going through.

I had a wonderful art teacher in one of my college classes who had healed from breast cancer. She was so full of joy and life and determination, she was very inspiring.

A few years ago I broke several bones in an auto accident and spent a month in a nursing home, healing and getting physical rehab. One thing I did that was helpful was to draw a sketch of my body, with all the broken bones. I drew roses growing out of the breaks, to symbolize healing, and wings on my shoulders, to symbolize my spirit carrying me through the healing process. I also did a lot of visualization, picturing the broken bones filling in with calcium and the sugar in my blood being let into my muscles for energy.

I hope you have some friends and family around to help you through this. I will look often to see if you wrote anything new and try to respond. I am thinking of you and I care.
