Thank god for your friend!  I am so glad that you are here with us today.  I am so sorry about your brother.  I cannot imagine how much pain and hurt you have been through.  When it all gets to be too much, please do reach out.  You are not alone.

That is fantastic, Rochelle! Thank you for sharing with us. There is a great lessen there. Too often I think we expect the medical profession to be infalible so we go along quietly with whatever course they recomend. But we are each of us so different. What works for you may not work at all for me. For another person, it might work fine but the side effects are intollerable. The point is, we need to tell our care provider... Dr. this isn't working, I don't feel better. Dr. I feel great but, I can't continue with these side effects.

Our medical team needs to hear from us so they can respond and make adjustments until the right treatment is found. I'm sorry to hear that you attempted suicide but like me, someone or something, however you see it, decided "Oh no Rochelle, you have something to contribute to this world so get back in there."

What courage you have shown. We are all stronger for your having shared your experience.

I am glad that you posted about your experiences.  Has anybody ever told you about Survivors of Suicide groups?   Your post would have helped me if I understood why you regret this attempt so much.  Who did you hurt?   Perhaps your family or friends were not expressing their support clearly.  I think it is sad when desperate measures motivate "supports," and not seeing what pain she you were in every day.  I understand how alone one can feel when depressed, or how it feels like other people would not be interested in your depression.
