Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 06:12 PMI understand but take it earlier like 8pm... I have had to adjust the times when I take my lamictal about two hours earlier than the other meds.
My best friend has learned the hard way to just take the medicine and quit fighting the doctors--when she does take it she sleeps fine..but when she doesn't she doesn't sleep....
.....good luck and keep us all posted..

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:10 AMI'm no expert but have on the bad side of the headaches and have just been placed on seroquel 50mg only at nite and I have never felt so good when I get up in the am.I take mine about 9:00pm and wake with no problem by 7:00am at the latest and feel rested and ready to start the day. In the hospital I was on 50mg in day and 100mg at nite and told the doc I have kids and need to be able to function with them thru the day--when I came home they gave effexor xr for the daytime and seroquel 50mg for nite- between the two I don't have the severe headaches I had and if not good thru the day then have oxycodone 5m to take. My biggest problem was the price but qualified for the free program thru the company that makes it.
Hope and wish you well which ever way you go.

Hi there
Well...if you feel the meds aren't working then all the power to you to make a change. I am just concerned that you say you are going cold turkey...so this means that you are abruptly stopping all your meds? You are going to probably endure some bad side effects this way. I would strongly suggest slowly tapering off of your meds under your doctor's guidance.
I wish you the best of luck with this. Nothing is a panecea. I hope you find what works best for you.
