Self worth or esteem is surely a component of happiness. So I try to engage in things that nurture or increase my self esteem. For example I take classes in Tai Chi because that engages me in a stress reducing exercise but I can also take pride in that accomplishment. Community gardening is another activity. The act of being out in the open and surrounding by growing things is very relaxing. When you can cook and eat your own produce it is very enriching both physically and spiritually. So these are some techniques I use to help me stay positive and "happy".
