I think most women can attest to the fact that mood is definitely affected in some way by hormone fluctuations. I find that these changes not only affect my mood but also symptoms of chronic medical conditions. I definitely have more symptoms of my Multiple Sclerosis during that time of the month.
It would be interesting to know if hormones also affect male depression. Is there much literature on this?
