    To me, this would explain why someone who was sleep deprived and depressed would impulsively overdose.

    I have done this and it seemed rational

    at the time to "knock myself out" in spite of the serious consequences.

    Thank you for that insight. That explains alot. Why Sleep Apnea people are so grouchy when they do not get a good night sleep. A good friend of mine with Sleep Apnea and Narcolepsy was put out of school for fighting. He use to get in fights all the time when he was young. So nat enough sleep causes low impluse control. did I understand it right?
