Thanks for this interesting piece on recent research. I liked the statement that we need to bridge research to the "real world". Many of the clients that I see in the U.S.A. cannot afford the best treatment that academia has afforded us.
Managed Care is another movement in the U.S. that is vigorous in moving patients in and out of acute car and inhibits the spending of money that helps the depressed.
We need to advocate for the oppressed mentally ill. Their voice is usually muffled by those who see them as a poverty industry.
