Here to help

By NatashaKeep Tuesday, January 05, 2010

Hello everyone! My name is Natasha. I am a 25 yr old stay at home mother. I myself recently and in the past have been through some major struggles with depression. Lately I have seen some brighter days. I have learned to love life and have become a very positive person.

I would like to lend my heart and ear to anyone who might be still dealing with these struggles.

I am a great listener and sometimes from what I have heard I can also give some great advice. Don't ever think your problem is to small. It is those little ones that grow into much bigger ones and consume you whole. Anyone who needs someone to talk to feel free to email me, or IM me on yahoo. Natnickeep@yahoo.com

I am able to talk mostly during the day, and then my husband steals the computer from me during the evening. But I look forward to hearing from you. Innocent

Hi Natasha!

This is very kind of you to want to reach out to other members.  However, the best way to do that is by commenting on shareposts and answering questions.  We really discourage members from posting their private emails on the site as you are opening yourself up to anyone taking your email and using it for their own purposes including to spam you.  We do have a message system here on-site for members to write back and forth...so if someone wants to contact you they can do so in this way.

Why don't you write some about your experiences and what has helped you to combat your depression?  I am sure others will want to read your story.

Thank you so much for joining the site and we are looking forward to hearing more from you.

Hi Natasha,

It's always great to hear from someone who has been through the storm of depression and now feels a lot better. It'd probably help people a lot if you shared some of those stories of what you have been through and what helped you feel better. Welcome to the site.

Welcome to this Site. Its very kind and therapeutic for you to go and offer help to those of us still suffering Depression. Was it your 1st time suffering from Depression? Do  you suffer bouts of it on a cyclical basis?  I'd really love to know what helped you.

For me, I find in order to keep well i need to 1. Eat properly [as in no junk, sugar] and at regular times 2. Have a Decent Bed time [even though Im not a good sleeper], not to isolate [which I dowhen Im down] 3. To exercise [which is v hard when  your depressed as you ll know] but even a good walk. 4. To get out. 5. To speak with like minded but positive people [as on this site] Welcome again and Id love to know how /what you did to help yourself or did the Depression run its course?  Ive found sometimes that a bit of a 'break' can help, as in, a part time job, your finances improve etc.,
