My therapist recommended I go to this website and take an assessment to help me see the good things about me, instead of focusing on the bad.  It's called positive psychology.  The assessment he recommended points out your top 5 strengths of a list of 24, including things like kindness, honesty, wisdom, leadership, etc.  I was not surprised by my results, because I think I know myself to some degree, but it helped me to say "Hey, you know what?  I'm a good person and this depression is not all there is to me!"  I thought it might help some of you, if you're interested.

The website is www.authentichappiness.sas.upenn.edu

The assessment to take is the VIA survey of Chracter strengths.

You have to register, but its easy, and it's free.  I just wanted to share this with you all.
