Help me......

By samiam Thursday, January 07, 2010

Hi. I'm new to this kind of connection. I'm looking for a place where I can get some help, but I don't want to write a message and then have to wait a day to see if I get a response, like on yahoogroups. My Mother died 2yrs and 3mos ago. I have been depressed ever since. I am currently taking the maximum dose of effexor xr. I also suffer from anxiety/panic attacks. I had one Monday that felt like a heart attack. I have plans to see my gp dr. as soon as possible, but I need to talk to someone now! I feel like I did when I first started this c***. Help me?

Hi

I am guessing you wrote this sometime last night.  I am really sorry nobody was about but this is the nature of internet sites...you never know when members will be on to view shareposts.

I can't even imagine what all you must be going through.  The grief of losing your mom must be overwhelming.  And panic attacks are horrible...I have been through those myself.

How are you doing this morning?  Are you hanging in there?  When will you be seeing your doctor?

May we ask how old you are?  What is your situation?  Do you have any supports?

If you need them I can give you some hotline numbers for emergencies when you are feeling so low that you cannot cope.  Just let me know.

In the meantime...why don't you tell us more of your story and how you have been coping all this time.

This is a very supportive community here...I am glad you found us.  Please keep writing...we are listening.

Hello, Samiam.  Week-ends are a little slower here, but know that even if you don't get a response right away, people are listening.  Are you seeing a therapist, along with taking medication?  It's normal to grieve, of course, but sometimes we can get stuck in it and need help to move on with our lives.  We'd be interested in hearing more about your life and how we can help.  Take care.
