Waiting for celexa to kick in

I am on my first treatment for depression which settled in after two months of illness resulting from surgery.  I am also taking xanax but due to waking up after five hours and not being able to sleep my doctor switched me to clonazepam which totally ruined my sleep.  So I took a xanax and now I'm totally zoned and exhausted.  Bad thing to do, I  but know but it was the middle of the night ..... which would help me more reverting to xanax or sticking with the clonazepam?
