Hi all, I just wanted to share with anyone grappling and trying to get off Efexor XL that it IS possible, can be done, with the help of a good professional and the right tablets to help you through it, and that you can be titrated down, slowly, with sedation and another SSRI being introduced.  After 2 failed attempts [I really did try hard those 2 times]  Ihave managed to come off this awfully addictive drug and I am now on Lexapro.   The Support sites regarding Efexor Xl withdrawal were so negative, went into side effects so much, hat I decided not to read them and to go it alone and do breathing exercises, take Sedation to deal with Head Zaps and to titrate slowly and firmly and to take it easy, watch good comedy TV, rest and eat well, it hasnt been easy, but Ivd done it !  I say this , so that those of you who think it cant be done will know it can be !!  Once you are determined.  Iwas absolutely determined because if I even missed one dose, a few hours later, the withdrawals would start....  It can be done though.
