Does it ever get better?

Just when I think it is getting better. I fall apart all over again. Each time it gets worse and longer to get thru. I'm so tired I just want to go away. Please somebody tell me it gets better?!

Answer:

Dear Sylvia,

Yes, it gets better. Without knowing more about your situation, it's hard to be specific with suggestions, but it can and does get better. What kind of treatment are you getting? Sometimes a combination of therapy and medication is needed. If you're doing just one or the other, consider both.

Don't be complacent about wanting things to get better. If your treatment isn't working, it's time for a talk with your doctor. OK?

Make sure you have someone to talk to, whether it's a friend or family member or coming here for support. That can be very important. It lets you know you're not alone.

So, take charge of your health and call your doctor about this. Please?

Good luck,
