    Hi Janet

May I ask how long you had to wait in order to see a psychiatrist?  What meds are you taking that are on the four dollar list?  I get the four dollar Prozac for my son.

I am glad you are here and we absolutely want you to stay on with us.  Life is hard but it is worth living.  Sometimes I feel powerless to know what to say...but...the bottom line is...we care.

Get a good night's sleep...tomorrow is another day.

Janet, I totally agree with Merely Me, your tax dollars have helped pay for those four dollar meds.  Take them and give them time to work.  Breathe, get you some sunshine, read a good book, take it easy.  Things will work out it just takes a little time.  Write about it to us we will always respond, we will even fuss at youWink everybody needs a good fussing every now and thenKiss it makes us feel loved!  Take care Janet, don't sweat the small stuff, it's all small stuff!  sherry/smomdukesKiss

Her health insurance was cut from one job to the next  She loved her therapist, but we couldn’t afford the fees. So we found a clinic for Sophia.

It took three weeks to get an appointment. I took her to the intake. The new therapist was peppy. He used a lot of motivational speech. He warned us that therapy might rattle our relationship. He thought we were amateurs? We smiled.

He was young. I’d probably had depression and anxiety longer than he’d been alive.

He talked to Sophia in simplistic metaphors. The woman loves Milton and Shakespeare. She’s used to images developed over several pages. Her new therapist referred to the “chapters” of her life. He told her that some of the writing in her book was wrong. Sophia was under-whelmed.    READ MORE
