Dear Alice,
I can certainly understand your concern regarding your counselor's comments. It sounds to me like these were inappropirate comments to make to a client. Is there anyway you can request a different counselor? If not, I would encourage you to bring your concerns up with her. Tell her you have felt worse since that session and that it makes you concerned about her motivation and ability to help you. Also, you are right to get yourself admitted to a hospital if you are feeling suicidal.
