ADHD medication

Since I was put on Adderall for ADHD I have been having numerous side effects. Some aren't that bad while others annoy me to no end. The medication takes only a half hour to kick in. After the meds have kicked in I become lethargic, I lose my appetite, become dizzy, get a headache, and upset stomach. To be quite honest the only one I don't mind is the loss of appetite. My psychiatrist said that if this medication made me sleepy then it meant I did have ADHD but I think there is a difference between being sleepy and barely being able to function during the day. As far as the other side effects they are probably all related to my loss of appetite. When I see him on Tuesday I am going to be up front and honest with him. I will tell the medication has the effect you are looking for but has too many side effects. I am then going to ask him if there is something else he might be able to put me on instead. Personally I still have my doubts about this diagnosis.
