I'm just wondering if anyone else is feeling the dread of winter coming, and the feeling of wanting to hide away, I'm already starting to eat the carbs in the evening and feeling a bit more anxious than I normally am and sleepy in the day.

I know how you feel, This time of year is always difficult for me too.
sleeping late, no energy, it seems like there is less time to do things and is one of the main reasons I took a 2nd shift job. But now I am on days again. more hectic commute too. Try to get outside in the sunlight more, especially during the week ends. it helps me. peace & blessings -- Danny G.
Two people just wrote about this topic...and I want to find these articles to share with you.
Renee C. just wrote about her ideas of how to deal with the darkening days here.
Deborah Gray just wrote about this too...follow this link.
It is something when the days grow so short...seems to happen so very quickly!
Have you ever tried one of those spectrum light lamps? Let us know how you survive this fall and winter. Thanks for reaching out here!
Thanks Merely Me.
I've just looked at those sites and there really interesting. I have a 10'000 lux i (think thats what you call it) lightbox, but I dont think i've used it for long enough. I will give it a go this year. I'm gonna read under it. Thats the only way I can stay still long enough. Thanks again for the help much appreciated.
Hi, Fifi. Yes, I know what you mean about dreading those dark days coming. They probably don't bother me as much as they do some others, but some of the things that keep me going are planning for the holidays, trying to make plans to see people more often, like for coffee or lunch or something - just something that you can look forward to every day. Truthfully, some days I do look forward to doing absolutely nothing but it's easy to get in a rut with that. I think the worst time is after the holidays are over because it really takes an effort to get out. I don't know where you live, but here it's very cold and snowy and, especially in the evenings, it makes you think twice about going out anywhere. Maybe you could find something new to do, like taking a class or joining a book club or something like that, that would make you get out more.
Don't know if any of those things did the trick for you, but they help me - I hope the same for you.
Thanks for your comments Judy.
I will try and get out this winter and join a club, I keep meaning to. My daughter keeps telling me to join a book club as well. I find it a bit more difficult to get out now my husband is home. Thanks again for your advice Judy.
