Feeling a bit down and was wondering if anyone knew of some good comedies to watch. The weather is wet n windy and I thought I'd just snuggle up and watch something funny.  I just cant think of anything at the moment.

Hi Fifi!

Do you get Netflix or something like that?  That way you can just order them on-line and wait until they come by mail.  I guess it depends on what makes you laugh as to what to get.

I just bought the stand up comedy dvd's of Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy, and Richard Pryor.  Now...those are old school comedians but there are a lot of new comedians who are really good too...Jim Gaffigan, Dimitri Martin, and Jo Koy.  And for political comedy...Lewis Black...is hysterical.

One of my friends told me to watch "Meet Dave" and I didn't want to like it but it was funny.  "Hitch" is good.  "What about Bob?" is an oldie but a goodie.  Well...for just ridiculous humor...all the parodies of scary movies are funny.  The airplane movies are silly..."caddyshack"...."Blazing saddles"...."Young Frankenstein".....are classics.  This is fun to create this list.  perhaps others can join in!

You will have to tell us what you end up getting.

Have a great weekend...

Thanks Merely Me.

I have a few of those films in the garage somewhere boxed up, I'm gonna dig them out today. Richard Pryor is so funny in his films. I've never seen his standup comedy, but my hubby says he's brilliant. I will get those other ones you mentioned as well for a change. Thanks very much.

Hi, Fifi - sounds like you have the same weather we do!  Some of my favorite comedies are Groundhog Day, Mr. Mom, The Goonies, Father of the Bride (the one with Steve Martin), and Witches of Eastwick.  I could watch these 100 times each and still laugh.  Hope something helps!

Hi Judy.

My girls love witches of Eastwick, I haven't seen it all the way through. I'm a bit of a joke in our house as I always fall asleep half way through if the film if it starts at eight pm in the winter, I'll have to put it on earlier. Thats another one to dig out.

I took my Daughter to see Fame yesterday. We really enjoyed that. Really didn't feel like going ,but was glad I did. Nice feel good Movie with lots of singing and dancing.

Thanks Judy.
